EXTREME WEATHER
I watch World News Tonight every evening at 5:30 p.m. For the past two months, the breaking news has included a segment on extreme weather every broadcast, sometimes the lead story. Bitter cold, tons of snow, ice storms, torrential rains and flooding, high winds and tornadoes, vast fires. It does not stop, night after night after night.
Is this God’s wake-up call? Has he lifted His hand of protection from our country? I have only questions, no answers. Wait, I do have one answer. In these troubling times, I can sign on to advance His kingdom within my sphere of influence. It is, after all, the second request of the Lord’s prayer: Thy Kingdom Come.

You are so right Pat, our focus is not to be fixed what is happening around us to become alarmed, but fixed on Jesus and pursuing the mission he has for us.
