THE LORD’S PRAYER
You can tell a Christian not by what he/she says but by what he/she does. I can pray the Lord’s Prayer ten times a day, but if I’m not praising God, advancing His kingdom, doing His will, providing bread for those who don’t have any, forgiving others, and avoiding temptation – I am not living out the Christian life
Yesterday I was filling up my car at a gas station, while a thin, older man was rummaging through trash barrels trying to find aluminum cans he could sell. Into my mind came the words “give us this day our daily bread,” so I walked over and handed him five dollars. Did that make me a hero? No, but it made me obedient.
